Audio out of sync

I recently purchased Chromacam Personify. I use it on GoToWebinar. My attendees complain that the audio lags the video.

I am running a i5-4590 @ 3.39GHz w/ 32 GB RAM. Is the issue that I don't have enough horsepower or do I need to adjust some other setting?

Hi Eric, thanks for the question.

There’s some audio lag inherent to the system as it currently exists equal to the “processing time” of ChromaCam. The amount of lag can increase (perhaps to an unacceptable degree) based on a number of factors: CPU, GPU, software used in conjunction with Personify ChromaCam, network conditions, etc…

How much is the lag seen? Is it increasing over time, or constant? These questions/answers might help us identify what’s going on in this particular case.

The reported PC specs seem like they should be fine. But given that you have an older gen i5, it’s good practice to exit out of any apps, browser tabs, and the like, which aren’t needed at the time of the video call. Also, make sure that you’ve updated to the latest version, which can be found at chromacam.me/download.
